From Mad at Raza del Soul:

Unearthed from the Queen’s Crown Jewels, a previously unreleased midtempo Group Harmony Dancer unavailable digitally, first unearthed in 2017 from UK’s Cordial Recordings, and largely slept on. In fact, just like “I Want To Thank You” by El Count Executives, this rola (track)“Signs of A Dying Love (Unreleased Midtempo Group Harmony Dancer)” by Mark IV has never been posted on YouTube until now! B-Side: youtu.be/dtgSJ4qnU4g

This moover and groover will have you burning your chanclas (shoes) and singing along the group harmony, having you thinkin' your one of the Tempting Temptations.

The more known Disco Crossover version of “Signs of A Dying Love” on OTB sells for $400 easy on the collector’s market! This version for whatever reason has remained under the radar among Rare Soul collectors here in Aztlan. In fact, it's sales have been isolated to Europe. Until now!

700 copies were pressed back in 2017 leaving Cordial Recordings with less than 50 copies. When I enquired about how many were still in stock, Cordial kindly sold me the entire remaining lot.

Cordial reached out to Otis Brown over 5 years ago with no luck but months later Otis hit them back up and leaked transfers direct from the tapes which were previously unreleased versions of “Signs of A Dying Love” as well as other gems from the Mark IV catalog. Cordial pressed an album with previously unreleased material and 4 singles with their biggest hit being “I Knew It Wouldn’t Last”.

Mark IV a male vocal group with New Jersey and Southern origins, originally recorded these rolas from three recording sessions sometime between 1975 and 1977 with the plan to get a deal until they got into a fight and broke up, burying these rolas for almost 5 decades! Until now!
